Overview

Insights are accessed using unique URLs assigned by OnlyBoth®. All insights are delivered through a secure web connection using a web-based application, and require users to login using previously assigned credentials.

Questions

Click on one of the core benchmarking questions.

Each question's label and presentation order is configured by OnlyBoth® for each application.

Insights

The Benchmarking Engine compares the selected target to all peers, discovers insights, and writes these up in perfect English.

The insights are shown as a list of excerpts, like search engines do. A user then examines a result by clicking on it.

Group Analytics

The "Query across ..." button lets users formulate criteria for matching entities (e.g. customers) and/or insights. It then returns the top matches ranked by noteworthiness.

Clicking the "Query across..." button shows the query format, consisting of dropdown options to choose from.

Group Analytics - Data Table

In some applications, the Data Table reports various statistics on all the numeric attributes, for some fixed subgroups.

Filter the data table by choosing the specific attributes (rows) and statistics (columns) of interest to you. You can also download the visible data table as a CSV file.

Visualizations

Some insights are visualized to provide a complementary picture.

The visual form depends on the type of insight and any need for data confidentiality. For example, on public data, an insight with a single numeric attribute will be visualized with a histogram, and an insight with two numeric attributes will be shown as a scatter plot.

Peers

This lists peers, anonymously if needed, that are close to the selected target within the reported peer group, and also reports the number of missing values within that peer group.

Playbook

This might show recommended actions, triggered by the details of the insight, that are contributed by our clients or partners.

References

If available, this cites the source of the raw data analyzed within the insight, and may explain further the background of the data attributes and any transformations done to the raw data.

Profile

This summarizes what the engine knows about the selected target.

Best in Class

Choose metrics to see the best achievement among the peers most similar to the selected target, or see if the target itself is the best. The need for peer anonymity may constrain what is shown.

After applying the chosen metrics, explore the "Best in Class" insights in the usual way.

Similar Peers

This lists the selected target's most-similar peers, which are reference class for the best-in-class.

Now What?

In some applications, see recommended actions based on the current benchmarking insight.

Share Insights

Share the insight by email with someone else.

Clicking "Share Insight" launches a dialog that lets users customize the message sent out by the application.

Print

Generate a print-friendly report for this insight.

Feedback

Send feedback about an individual insight.

Print Report

In some applications, this generates an entire PDF report on the selected target.
